Reproduction Christmas Gift Tags/Shipping Labels Description The offer includes 1 pack of 12 reproduction Christmas labels/tags. Originally intended for parcel post packages, these are ideal for gift tags and I use them myself. The originals are very rare. Quantities are limited! The original tags were lithograph printed on heavy paper in Saxony as “Parcel Post” shipping labels. Even the white color appears to have been printed. The reproductions are based on two original tags: One features Santa holding packages the other a postman in a blue uniform delivering wrapped packages in a mail sack. Each label was scanned at high 600 dpi resolution and digitally restored. Every effort was made to preserve the original colors. Small areas of the original lithograph printing were chipped or scraped away, particularly in the case of the postman card and along the border decoration. Damage was replaced by careful sampling and repainting the lost graphics using other sections of the card – a process that took weeks to complete. Each tag measures approximately 5 1/16 inches by 2 9/16 inches. The tags are printed at approximately the same size as the originals on 110 lbs white card stock in small batches using an inkjet printer – No half-tone screening!! The tags have a matt finish like the originals. There may be some variations and printing artifacts in the printed tag. Each tag is hand cut like the originals so there may be some small variations in size. The tags are packaged in a colored envelope with a printed tag glued on it. Buyers can return any item within 30 days for a full refund if not happy with it. The tags are from an antique original and show minor imperfections from the original printing and subsequent storage. Buyers should familiarize themselves with the item before buying. However, there may be imperfections that were missed in the description .
